Cuddly Critters Pet Sitting

Cuddly Critters has been caring for our cockapoo, Maggy, since she was 12 weeks old.  Maggy looks forward to her daily visits with Heather.  As new dog owners, the guidance we've received has been great for us as well as Maggy.  It is comforting to know when the family is away, Maggy is getting some fun and exercise from someone as dependable as Cuddly Critters.  Even our cat Tasia gets a little extra attention.

 

For the first six years of her life, Roxy was spoiled. Her alpha male worked from home and she could hang out in the home office all day. Then a new job took him away for long days and she got depressed. Enter Cuddly Critters. Roxy is way more excited at the prospect of Heather coming to take her out for a walk than she is depressed at being home alone. And she's much more mellow and happy at the end of the work day.

Shannon and Heather have been clients of mine for several years, so I was very excited when they announced that they were starting their pet sitting service. I have always held them both in the highest esteem as people, and also for their extreme devotion to animals and their well being.  I was already recommending their services to my clients once they were established in business. However, I can recommend them even more highly now, because I had a situation where I needed their services while I was away at a seminar. I was very impressed with the professionalism that was exhibited right from the whole meet and greet process, through to coming home after my seminar to find my 2 very happy Corgis who had been well taken care of. I didn’t even realize until I got home that there would be detailed written notes left for me about each and every visit that was made, and what my 2 boys were like at each visit.  Even though I am a holistic veterinarian, I am just as neurotic (or more so!) about my own animals as any other animal owner. It was SUCH peace of mind for me to be able to confidently go away, and never have to worry about my 2 precious Corgis. Also, being a holistic vet, I give many supplements along with their raw food diet every day. It was no problem for the supplements to be administered, as Shannon and Heather are used to doing this for their own animals. And the icing on the cake for me was the wonderful daily notes to come home to!! Cuddly Critters is a wonderful service with great providers/caretakers. I am so glad it exists…and comes with an A+ recommendation from me!!

 

 

I got Reba when she was just a puppy.  She was cute and playful and curious just as all puppies should be.  When she got to be about 8 months old she got hurt at the park and tore her ACL in her rear right leg.  She had surgery and recovered nicely except for one thing...she would not put pressure on her rear leg.  I had her vet check her out and he told me that all was healed well with her leg.  I took Reba home and we went about our daily business.  It bothered me that Reba was so young to have something going on with her leg.  I wanted her to play and be just like other dogs.  I started searching for a way to help her.  I was reading the paper one day and saw an ad for pet sitting and noticed they also offered Reiki and Reflexology for Pets.    When Shannon came over to do the initial consultation she had a feeling that Reba was fearful of hurting her leg and that she lacked the confidence to do normal dog things.  She suggested that I change my way of thinking toward Reba; to start thinking only how I wanted Reba to be and to start treating her like a normal dog.  Over the course of 8 weeks I have seen Reba go from a dog who would not put any pressure on her rear leg to putting her entire leg down.  I have seen her jump on and off furniture, when she would not even attempt it before.  Reba now has more confidence towards other dogs at the park, whereas before she would cower away.  I have seen her run faster, walk farther and go up full flights of stairs.  She now uses that leg to scratch herself with and she sits on that side when she wouldn't before.   Reba has made such progress with her sessions and only continues to get better by the day.  I now have a dog that runs around and plays like all the other dogs which is all I ever wanted.  Thank you very much for giving new life to Reba!

 

 

 

I first called Cuddly Critters to see about care for my troubled cat Otis who was not always happy with others coming into the house or with other caregivers.  Shannon mentioned that she also did Reiki with animals and that might help my situation.  From the first time Shannon came to the house Otis was very calm with her.  He has been getting treatments for almost a year and has been much better behaved with me and with guests and caregivers.  The Reiki has helped to calm him down and be a happier cat.

We were looking for that unique blend of responsible, business-minded professionals and warm, loving care-givers.  Cuddly Critters is exactly that!  From a business side, scheduling is easy and Heather ensures that no appointment is ever missed.  On the personal side, she brings toys and treats to make her visits special and even leaves notes to let us know how our pets did each day.  Sometimes I wonder if my cats are just counting down the days until I leave again so they can have a visit from Heather and her team.  If you need someone reliable and caring to take care of your pets, there's no one better than Cuddly Critters.
